San Francisco Speed Cameras: Where They Are and What You Should Know

San Francisco Speed Cameras: Where They Are and What You Should Know

Last week, I was driving down Fulton Street a little bit fast, when I remembered the new San Francisco speed cameras. Sure enough, this week, a warning notice arrived from the city. Honestly, I was impressed at how fast they sent me the warning, and I was happy it wasn't a ticket. If you’ve ever driven Fulton, you know it’s easy to speed, and people crossing, even in the crosswalk, are often at risk. Slowing down isn’t a bad idea, and now there’s an added incentive: tickets are coming, and they’re coming fast.

As of 2025, San Francisco has officially installed speed safety cameras at key locations across the city. These cameras are currently issuing warnings, with full enforcement expected soon. Here’s what you need to know and where you might encounter them.

Status: All cameras listed are currently installed and issuing warnings. I’ve made every effort to assign each location to the correct San Francisco REALTOR District, though there may be minor inaccuracies.

Residents should expect citations to begin shortly as the city phases in enforcement.

Stay informed and drive safe. Speeding fines can be steep, but more importantly, the cameras aim to save lives.
